Lost Purpose

Face to face classes, it's stressful, it's hard, and it requires discipline. Online classes, however, are easier and more laid back. Out of the two, it's a no-brainer that online classes are better, and yet students prefer face to face classes, why? Students get to meet their friends in real life and they actually get to learn something. But what makes online classes bad and face to face better?

In a classroom there is a dynamic that makes it work, that is the teachers and the students, They talk to each other discussing ideas and asking questions, in online classes you can't do that because cameras are turned off and mics are muted. The interaction isn't there in online classes making it harder to learn.

What about assignments or modules sent out after every online class? Won't kids learn anything from that? No, if this was the 90s or early 2000s maybe but, in this day and age we have Google. Students can just type it in Google's search bar and they'll have their answers.

Students that use mostly Google and not their brains, will develop into lazy students; lazy students will turn to lazy adults. Sloth is not a good thing.

In conclusion, face to face classes stresses out its students so that they may adapt. Online classes make students lazy because of a lack of intervention or interaction from teachers. It's a bad learning environment, and we can only hope the new generation will recover to their hardworking selves in this year's face to face classes, with the help of teachers it is indeed possible.
