The LGBT Community

The LGBT Community is comprised of  Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender. These people are usually discriminated because of the fact that they're not normal, because they follow their emotions, they express what they want in life even if others don't like it and disapprove. They show true bravery through both actions and emotions.

This is the LGBT flag
This rainbow colored flag is the LGBT community's flag, but how did it become the symbol for the LGBT community?, It goes back to 1978, when the artist Gilbert Baker, an openly gay man and a drag queen, designed the first rainbow flag. Baker later revealed that he was urged by Harvey Milk, one of the first openly gay elected officials in the U.S., to create a symbol of pride for the gay community. Baker decided that symbol a flag because he saw flags as the most powerful symbol of pride. This is one of the first steps the LGBT community took in order to be visible, to be recognized. They are not afraid to come out and say this is me. There are still some people who won't come out of the dark because they are afraid of discrimination or they are confused as to what is their sexual identity.

It might seem that most LGBT people are finally coming out but, there are still some people who, well isn't very open-minded. People who are LGBT are still people everyone is created equally but we all have unique minds and way of thinking, They are unique because of the way they act, speak and personalize themselves. They are people and they should not be ridiculed because of that, We must stop this discrimination and maybe we can create a world where men, women, LGBT and the like are equal, and then maybe, just maybe we can create a perfect world not torn apart by differences and personal attributes but united because of it.
