The Intramurals is an event in most schools where students compete in groups for medals trophies and extra points. The competition is what makes it fun, but making and having friends to play alongside you adds more to the experience. Each student is put in groups and over the course of the event I gradually grew closer with my team and formed some bonds and made new friends. During the event I also managed to strengthen my bonds with my friends and learn new things about my friends while examining my physical prowess and the physical prowess of others.
The Intramurals although fun and refreshing compared to the stressful and mind-numbing regular classes were pretty tiring and tense especially during my game. I participated in the badminton event and I was very nervous as this was the first time I played competitive badminton and the other players I had to play against were quite skilled, I won my first game with the help of my friend as we were playing doubles so I wasn't alone which helped in dealing with my nervousness. The first game we played was tense but we clutched it. The 2nd game was much harder and we lost. It was expected as the duo we were facing against was none other than the duo who taught us how to play in the first place, overall it was a very fun experience.
In the end our team didn't place first in the overall rankings but everyone tried their best and that's just how life is you win some and you lose some.
